Lalla Rookh is a romantic novel written by Irish poet Thomas Moore. The story is set in the exotic East and follows the journey of a young princess named Lalla Rookh, who is traveling from Delhi to Samarcand to marry the king of Bukhara. Along the way, she falls in love with a poet named Feramorz, who is actually the king in disguise. The novel is divided into four parts, each containing a series of poems that tell the story of Lalla Rookh’s journey and her encounters with various characters.
